Sparrowhawk, Accipiter nisus
This bird was chasing Starlings across Walney Island (Cumbria, UK). I think the approach of my car put her off and she landed in the road a short distance ahead. As it was a very quiet lane I was able to stop and by carefully craning out of the window managed to get a few pictures before she flew off. I saw her again a couple of minutes later chasing waders across the saltmarshes.
