Special guest (Lophophanes cristatus)

I was especially thrilled to get this close-up. If I stand by the woodpile at one corner of the shed, I get a good, close view to the feeder which hangs under the eaves at the next corner. The birds don't seem to mind. In fact, they come and go to the feeder even as we walk right by it to get in and out of the shed (which is where the bird seeds are stored - perhaps they realize that ;) )

Great close-up of this beauty with a gorgeous eye in addition to that beautiful plumage. Excellent bird and picture Doc!
