Thank you everyone for your nice comments on my pictures of insects, butterflies , plants and birds.I took this image on the same day and in the same place as that of my mysterious hedge-flower.I remember the weather was heavy but quite dull.First intimations of autumn in the colour of the leaves.

looks to be in fine condition - very nice to see. Funnily enough, a Peacock butterfly just flew past my window, a don't think we'll be seeing many more this year!
