Spot-throated Hummingbird (Leucippus taczanowskii) Sexes similar. Foraging on a Fuschia. Carhuaz, Ancash, Per. Garden in an urban setting at 2,650 m (8,694 ft) elevation situated in the long valley called Callejn de Huaylas. The valley is in the Quechua region which is temperate. The slopes are dry scrub and cacti.

Another top quality image Stanley. Normally you'd expect to see the eye in a bird photo, but that doesn't apply here! Excellent detail and exposure, and the Fuschia is a gorgeous splash of colour.
