Spotted Doves (Streptopelia chinensis)

Thanks for all the kind words on the last photo
I have a question, we only saw this one Dove with a darker rose color then the others, why is the color different? The book says that the immature dove lack neck pattern and may be mistaken for the rarer Mourning dove. That rules out the darker one being immature. Have a great weekend

Great double capture of this pair of beautiful Spotted Doves. First-rate Ella! I can not help answer your question about plumage. Some species coloration is just variable, maybe this is one of those species.
 
Super double capture of these handsome Doves Ella...Not sure about the different plumage colouration, but its not totally uncommon in several different species of birds.
