Spring on the pampas

Today's "lifer" is not a bird. There were trees that were coming into bloom all over the pampas - some sort of mimosa I think, judging by those little yellow pompom-shaped blossoms, although I wasn't catching the strong mimosa scent I remember from when they'd bloom in California. I decided I needed at least one picture of them so I tried this one, zooming out until the trees were framed in the circle of the teleconverter tube.
