Squacco Heron - North Cyprus (Ardeola ralloides)

One of a group of about a dozen Squacco Heron taken on the northern coast of Cyprus during the autumn migration.
In autumn there is a daily passage of Herons, Egrets, Cranes, Ibises and Duck along the north coast, they can be seen at almost any coastal location with three figure hourly counts not unusual.
