Starlings are feeding their young at the moment. I don't know where this bird got these rather unusual looking worms from, but he seems to have gotten somewhat disheveled in the process!

A very nice portrait of a busi parent! The meal look deliciuos - It makes my mouth water...;-)
Thats a superb photo Andy, it looks like a male to me and he will have washed his meal and taken a bath at the same time. They are fastidious about being clean.
