Stonechat on the Itchen (Saxicola rubicola (previously S. torquata rubicola))

This is one of the very first pictures I took with my canon 400D & 100 -400 ISL lens and remains one of my favourites. Less than a mile from home on the banks of the Itchen River in Hampshire.
The latin name is from Wikipedia, I didn't know it wasn't Saxicola torquata any more.
