Stripey green in the green (Spinus spinus)

This was almost kept for SF... spot the birdie LOL! Took me ages to work out what it was. Still not sure if it's a female or juvenile though.

Anyway, this was the start of our walk around the lake. While taking pictures of the feeder birds, we suddenly heard a diver calling (quite unmistakable if you've heard it before). So off we set in the hope of spotting it.

Couldn't help myself though, just had to take pictures of what else I saw en route. Occasionally being urged to move on by Ann.;)
