Successful hunt
Nearly all the food I threw out onto the snow fell through the top layer.

Oh well, I guess it kept the birds busy hunting for their breakfast LOL.

Normally I seem to be getting 3 Jackdaws coming. This guy got a head start on the other two!

Nice timing, and a brilliant close up winter capture, Delia. A great expression on this corvid, and the eye stands out nicely, well done.
 
Lovely image D - but aren’t you lucky just getting 3 Jackdaws! - as soon as I through food on the ground or bird table about 10 Jackdaws swoop down along with another 10 Woodpigeons and it’s gone in minutes - nothing left for the Blackbirds 🙄

I would imagine he hoovered all that food up, Delia...must have set his alarm clock to beat the others to breakfast.
