Hi Julien

Is this one also known as Brown Cuckoo Dove (Macropygia phasianella) do you know?

I'm struggling to find the relevant article in The Opus, and Avibase and Google haven't helped me much.

Hey Delia,

On ebird it is referenced as Sultan's Cuckoo-Dove (Macropygia doreya).

What a wonderful find for you my friend. The first picture to come in for this species, so I'll upload your picture(s) to The Opus shortly. Hopefully I may also be able to work out which particular subspecies he belongs to as well.
