Goodness! The things I learn by googling the strange names of creatures you post. These ants have actually been used to stitch up wounds :eek!: Just (ha! "just"!) pierce the skin on either side of the wound with the ant's "claws" (that's what the video I found called them, but they look like mandibles ...?), then - when the ant is well lodged in place - pinch off the ant's abdomen, leaving just the "stitch" in place. Eeewww! Glad my surgeons have never had to resort to ants :eek!:
