Swallow-tailed Kite (Elanoide forficatus)

We saw quite of few of these in Ecuador, but had very few opportunities for a photo. Finally, while we were atop a tower at the Rio Silanche Reserve, this one flew over just above the canopy. I switched to servo-focus, and got off three shots of this very fast flyer. This one was worth saving. 5% technique, 50% equipment, 45% luck.
