Swallowtail Kite (Elanoides forficatus)

There were three of them circling around. Not sure why the stick is stuck in it's mouth. These bird are endangered. Interestingly I saw a pair of Mississippi Kites just the other day when I was playing pickleball. They were a little too high up and I expect those shots won't be that good. I was taking a break between games as it is incredibly hot and humid here. I almost died at HBSP just walking around in the sun at 10AM. ;o) Lots of egrets (as usual), Anhingas, a few Spoonys ( missed the fly off) and white ibis. And of course a few more bunting images. How can you pass up those opportunities! lol! Have a great weekend and more importantly stay safe!! We're all very nervous here. College kids think they are safe but don't consider that they could pass it off to vulnerable people!

OMG!!!! What a beautiful Kite this is Bob.

A wonderful flight picture that too my friend. It is strange with that stick, isn't it.

That is one great photo Robert, and he's a rare one. You be safe too. I know how you feel being middle-age and then some when those young ones aren't doing their part.

Outstanding overhead with marvelous stop-action and detail. It is probably just me Bob but it looks like a young ribbon snake with a small fish attached to it rear.
