Swan nesting Paynesville Sept.2010 (Cygnus atratus)

This young swan made her nest right next to the track which ran down to the boating ramp. Quite a few swans nested in the area where people walked and put their boats in the water. I took this photo from my car.

That swan is well alert isn't she.

As for the weather... we had a beautiful April, with unseasonally high temperatures. May and June weren't so good on the whole, but the last couple of days have been really quite warm.
