Taking a break (Egretta caerulea)

Sea World is the only known nesting colony for the Little Blue Heron on the west coast although it's suspected that they may soon spread to other areas. There are about 10 to 12 pairs that nest in the park mixed in with the Snowy Egrets. Their numbers increase each year and 2008 so far has seen the largest numbers of them.
