Tawny Owl (psycho!) (Norman Bates!)

Whilst walking in the woods this evening I picked up a juvi Tawny Owl off the floor and put him back into the tree to avoid being eaten by a Fox.My reward for this good deed was an almighty whack on the back of the head by this chap.He even drew blood!Thats gratitude for you eh? LOL

Fantastic shot Mike. I never seem to see Tawny's. I looked at your injury picture - must have been a shock!

Stunning image Mike, tack sharp and great exposure, sometimes you have to bleed to get good results ... :t::t::t:

Nice one Mike, in years to come you will be able to show your Granchildren your "war wounds" :t:

It still amazes me how you get such sharp picture like this hand held - even on a tripod mine come out nothing as good as this!!

:-C

Good one Mike - both the rescue and the photo! Magnificent effort on both - and at least he had the decency to pose for you after the reprimand! :'D

A beauty of a bird Mike with an expression that says 'that'll teach him ' :-O I love the scientific name..thanks for a laugh out loud on a grey wet day :t::t:
