Tenderised (Cuculus canorus)

Ive only ever seen this bird at long range over the years, and not many times, so to see this very obliging one was a real treat. Its vision for spotting these juicy morsels was really amazing. Intense midday sun made photographing it very awkward.

An amazing image. Superb detail right down to the trail of squidgey stuff coming out of the end of the grub. Excellent.
