Texas Fox Squirrel (Sciurus niger limitis) There are ten recognized subspecies of the Eastern Fox Squirrel. Many are so similar in appearance that they need to be separated by distribution while others look like distinct species.
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah vegetation area. Open park with scattered pecan and post oaks adjacent to an un-named creek through the park at ca. 88 m (289 ft) elevation.

Camelot Park, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA.
