texas salute
this young scissor-tailed flycatcher is currently visiting mast park here in the san diego area. i would normally expect to see them in texas hence the caption.

I didn't know we had these in San Diego, but I had really just gotten into birding when I left 6 years ago. I did see a Silky Flycatcher. I've got a lot to look forward to when I get home. Thanks for the post, it's a great photo, and good info.
