Ove and Adam, really these Parakeets are not native, they are scapees but many years ago they started scattered colonies and now they are quite well stablished in certain points. Even if they are not native I love them, they are great looking birds and I like when the small flocks dart around making noice... always a pleasure to watch, they cheer me up!!! o

Hi Marian, welcome back, what an amazing image of these exotic birds, very clean and well composed.
They are increasing their numbers also in N. Italy but are still rather wary.

PS: by the way I'm leaving to Spain tomorrow, keeping fingers crossed about the weather hope to have something to post in the next weeks
