The big one
I think this may have been the closest I got to a Great Egret, guess we had the cover of the trees on the river bank.

So that was three heron/egret species in the same stretch of the rive.

Interestingly, the Great Egret and Intermediate Egret are in the [I]ardea[/I] family, along with the White-necked Heron, and our Grey Heron but the White-faced Heron is an [I]egretta[/I] where Little Egret is.

Taxonomy isn't easy is it LOL
