The Chough and the flower (Pyrrhocorax graculus)

A "belly-job" I had completely forgotten about!!! :eek!: But I enjoyed finding surprises among the old Leica jobs! :bounce:

An Alpine Chough with an alpine flower that I dedicate to our poetic Alok and Renu! o:) I'm not sure it looks poetic but at least looks sweet, I think! ;)
Habitat
Alpine meadow at 1850 m.
Location
Fuente De, Picos de Europa National Park, Cantabria Province, N Spain
Date taken
25 May 2009
Scientific name
Pyrrhocorax graculus
Equipment used
Leica V-LUX-1 (handheld crowling, ISO100, F/5.6, 1/400s, 0.0ev)
Great low POV and interest with the bird seemingly focused on that single tiny flower. Nice details and exposure:t:

A lovely composition Marian, you have caught a super expression there too.

A brilliant capture Marian, great expression, B/G and setting, very well done! :t:

Nice exposure on this post, Marian. When I saw the equipment used to take this photo, it reminded me of many years ago when my Dad had a Leica M3 but I used a Kodak Instamatic. :C

A cliffhanger of a picture there! The clough is looking quite thoughtful about the gentian. I think gentian is probably sweet. Did the bird eat the flower seconds later?
