You did well with the focusing with all those twigs.

Thanks Kits, but what I probably should disclose is that I'm a pretty patient person and I'll traipse 'round all day trying to get decent photos of birds, so for every one that looks half decent there are another 20 which barely resemble a bird!

Their colours really are subtly very attractive I think Paul.

That's a superb picture you've taken of him lad - very well done.

I took a picture of a redwing and a fieldfare sharing tree space, Delia. They were right up high and I was underneath. I don't see many fieldfares 'round here, so I'm not that familiar with them. At a decent range, what beautiful markings and colours the fieldfare has. The photo I've posted really doesn't do the fieldfare justice because it's too close range or I've zoomed in too far. I agree, Delia, a very attractive bird: beautiful colours underneath.

Look for areas where there's stubble fields with hedgerows.... at least that's what they favour up here.

Good luck finding more. It's generally Redwing I struggle with nowadays, though they should be with the Fieldfares! Birds eh!!!!

It's the other way 'round, here, Delia. Flocks and flocks of redwings with the odd fieldfare keeping them company!

It sure does look look beautiful in this great image Paul!

Hi KC Foggin,

When I look at a couple of pictures I took from a distance, I really didn't do this colourful bird justice when I put that photo up. One of my goals now is to get a more flattering picture!
