The eagle has landed (Haliaeetus albicilla)

There were grey seals around here too but I decided to zoom in on the eagle. Note the 2 White Wagtails in the foreground. :-)

Thanks very much everyone for these kind comments! 26th April certainly was a wonderful day for us.
I remember being woken up by my parents so I could get up to see the moon landings. It was very exciting and even then I had the sense that I was watching history being made!

We're off to Dalecarnia today - mainly to Fulufjllet National Park near the border with Norway where we hope to see some interesting birds and animals.
 
Certainly makes you think about how massive these birds are, when seen with other birds in a shot like this. Superb, cheers. Must have been an ace trip.
