Superb creature! I'd love to see one in the wild. There was one near Stockholm a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately it was shot because it was killing sheep.

:eek!: Had me hooked looking at it for a while, Bernard, I could hardly believe my eyes when I clicked!!! :eek!:

Lucky you, dear friend, to have this symbol of wildness so close (even behind a fence, ;)) is sure a thilling experience!!! Looks beautifull!!! :t: :t: :t:

Many thanks again:t:

Yes,Marian,I think I am really lucky to have them so close...even if I can't see them running free in the wild as my grandfather! At least,I am able to hear them : the song of a pack of wolves in an icy night of winter is for me one of the greatest voices of the wildness :t:

Will have to go about 200 miles north to get a shot of a wild Wolf, although we had one run over by a car just 2 miles from where i live. We have Wolf safaris going out at night listening to wolves. The ultimate sound of wilderness! Thanks for showing,Bernard. :t:

Thanks for all your nice comments!

I believe that the wolf keeps in our collective memory an absolutely unique place.
