The great wild goose chase 12 - the end (Anser brachyrhynchus)

Off they go, heading North. The Pink-footeds breed in our northernmost county, Finnmark, and on the Spitsbergen Islands. I assume it's on account of the protein-enriched diet of grass packed with mosquitoes. They'll be stopping by on their way southwards around September and then again next Spring heading north again.

Those sort of view generally addle my brain Ann... quite mesmorising isn't it.

A cracking picture with so many of them in focus - well done lassie.
