After no less than three birds photos (really exceptional for me on BF!),at last I post a new field drawing,as expected,I think,by some of my friends...

Water pipit:
Adult male in breeding dress,grey above and rosy-pink below,with a white eyebrow. Much more beautiful than the bird in winter plumage...

The english name of "water pipit" is good in winter,but not in summer. At that time,the species lives only in the mountain ranges of Europe,where it is,with the northern wheatear and notably in the Alps,the most common bird in the alpine zone. It lacks only in the mountains of the british islands and Scandinavia (where the ubiquitous meadow pipit takes its place) and in the mountains of southern Spain and Greece.

A wonderful field sketch, Bernard :clap: :t: ! They range right across the Palearctic so we get race coutellii in the Far East.
