Found this bit of love-making going on the front garden. And it was May Day too!!

Thought Saturday Fun was a good excuse to post this sighting.

A brilliant shot Delia, superb fine detail in the shell patterns. And the colour and texture of the surface they're on complements the shells perfectly. But no SF excuse was necessary for posting this, it's a fascinating image.

The one thing you could be reasonably sure of when taking this photo was that subject movement was unlikely to be a problem...
 
nicely captured delia.... like john indicates you wouldn`t need a fast shutter speed...lol....

Mating must be tough with those hard shells ;) A great moment to capture D and captured beautifully girl!

Snails are such fascinating creatures and so many of them have such intricate and beautiful patterns on their shells. Fabulous double capture with excellent lighting and dof. I don't know how I overlooked this post. Marvelous work D! TFS!
