The opposite end of the scale
My previous post, a very long neck, well this one is a short-necked turtle!

How Ken spotted it way out in the middle of the lake I don't know!!

Can't remember ever seeing a turtle in the wild before.
Habitat
Wetland areas
Location
Sandy Camp Road Wetlands, Brisbane, Queensland
Date taken
23 September 2019
Scientific name
Emydura macquarii
Equipment used
Fuji Finepix HS50 Sports Mode Continuous
The opposite end of
the scale would appear
to be 'A Flat Natural',
judging by the shape
of that turtle, D. A great
shot of Nature's dinner
plate. Well caught.

well spotted indeed, Delia, and a great capture of this peculiar turtle, top class, many tfs!!!

Good for Ken for spotting it and good for you getting such a neat shot D. Yes, totally opposite of your long necked Darter ;)

Delia if you come to South Carolina you will see a turtle crossing the street sometimes. They are everywhere. Come see us, Delia. Thanks for your picture :).
