The Perfect Day (Asio flammeus)

From the Car Park it is 2/3 mile over the Saltmarsh to where the Owls Hunt for a Pensioner weighing 10 stone it is a long way to carry the600mm lens but yesterday it was worth it. I arrived to find the Owls already out and Hunting this one headed straight for me I had trouble focusing for the Grass and weeds but managed to get a few shots and had a good session.Headed home as the Sun set over the Firth of Forth turning the sky Red with the sight and sound of thousands of Pinkfoots heading back to the Reserve across a pink Sky, when i reached the River it was full of Waterfoul reflected on the Water in the fading light, Just Magic. Then home for a meal a seat at the fire with a Wee Malt Whisky. "The Perfect Day"

Lol! Great catch. I just uploaded one as well! Mine was taken from the car though with them hunting alongside the road. I guess we're a tad spoilt around here ;) Intersting to see them in the same environment such a distance away.

The "Perfick" day JT, I told you that you need a barrow to cart that rig of yours about, another fine shot my friend.

Well done J.T. to venture out like you do and find the perfect day and share some of it with us many thanks Terrific post m8.

Only thing that could have made it more perfect would have been Docs brewery to carry your gear for you, sounds great JT
