The promised peanuts

Marian and Julie were asking in my photo yesterday if I did give this Blue Jay some peanuts for posing so nicely. Well, here's proof!

There were a couple of Jays around at the time. They would grab peanuts and quickly fly off to some tree where they could be heard pounding them with their beaks to get them open. Then they'd come back for more. This went on for a long time! I don't even think I could eat that many peanuts.
