The quiet one
I then took the opportunity to head to Lintrathen Loch. Again the hide wasn't open, but I was able to walk down beside it onto a small beach, which did allow me a view over the water.

As usual, the birds were a bit distant, but some blurry pictures were clear enough to let me see what was at the far end.

But a bit closer was this Mute Swan on the opposite side. So a year tick for me. It had already been a long year and this was only the beginning of July!!
