The 'rattler' (Turdus viscivorus)

I had a Mistle Thrush around the houses here for some weeks in the Autumn, not sure but I may have got some better pictures of him later on.

Couldn't quite attract him to my feeding area though, sadly.

For anyone that doesn't know this species, the reason for my title is that their call sounds rather like a football rattle LOL

they sure are beautiful, Delia!! I love their melancholic song in early spring. great photo showing those big markings on the underparts, many tfs!!!
 
i have never seen one as its extreme rarity here, even if it comes i don't think they will call, LOL so i think you know better.

super brilliant capture with that bright sky.
