The shining sunbird (well in the right light!)
A sunbird that I love to see every time I visit India. Very striking bird with its long beak. Cinneris means shining in Greek. But as you can see, this bird was in the shade.

It doesn’t matter we can’t see the iridescence - as you say, it cuts a striking and elegant figure with that bill alone!
