the sun in a cloudy day!! (Hedydipna metallica)

i use to think that high noon sun is what i need to show the colors of this breeding male neck and back, but it turns that i had a better result on this heavily cloudy day. but the price is i had to use a high ISO.

Hope you like it.

A stunning image Doux ... what hypnotic colors and iridescence on this ... a most remarkable post ... well done and loads of thanks ...

Cracker of an image here Ammadoux, what super colours in both bird and plant, well done. For me, low light is always better than bright contrasty sun.

Fantastic Doux!!! Beautiful colors, focus, feather and eye detail, lighting, and background, composition, and setting. Great capture of those iridescent colors. What high ISO? Superb!!!

Wow, Doux, what a cracking image, such a handsome boy! Agree that on cloudy days you can often get the best colours, the sun doesn't dilute them too much. Well done my friend, a beauty!

This is absolutely stunning, Duha. It looks like the flower is reflecting off the bird's chest. Absolutely love this - into my favs. :king:
