The Swarm

Beat this, Delia and Kevin(well you just might, I don't know). The swarm size is limited by the camera's smaller angle, while the actual size was much larger.Though these are not gulls, they are the much smaller Scaly Breasted Munias(I think). Saw this huge swarm flocking from one tree to another near a lake, after sundown. They were having quite a playful time I think. There is a lone crow somewhere in the melee.

Anyone willing to attempt a census? I don't have the patience.

OMG!!!! Wow!!!!

I sure am not going into competition with you SK (well not unless I find a large Starling murmuration again this year ;))

What a fabulous image that makes with the beautiful sunset colours behind.

Thanks my friend.
