the two unlucky ones. (cygnus olor)

thanks for all your great and kind comments.my mute swans.well as some of you know our adult mutes have been here alot of years only 1 pair and alot of offspring they have reared and good parents they are but when the adults sense for whatever reason i do not know its time for the young to leave their pond then believe me they let their young know.these two are getting the main attention just now to leave, their not allowed near the adult birds or feeding station at all, think these guys are maybe males and the unlucky 2 out of 5 born, the other 3 are still part of the family just now.think dad is protecting his life from all threats he sees and these males would definately be a big threat if left alone.

I know it's nature and I feel badly when the adult Woodpeckers chase off their young and I know there isn't anything we can do about it.

That said, this is a beautiful image of these two Mags. Probably discussing the best way to handle dad ;)

Beautiful pose and shot accompanied by a fine behavior observation, Margaret!! tfs.
