LOL a great title that Ovid. But, apart from being Ibis (I think), what are they and where did you see them?

I believe they are wood storks, and I was fascinated about their behavior in regard to the apparently wounded or dying bird in front of them. They seemed to had a very organized hierarchy with the elders standing closer and the younger birds seated towards the back and seemingly paying their respects. I am wondering if this is a known behavior or just a happenstance .

Aaah! I thought they had curved bills, but Wood Storks, it's just the end isn't it. That's a shame about the poorly one, isn't it.

I have no idea if that's known behaviour, I'm afraid. We do have a Bird Behaviour forum where you can ask if anyone else knows if you want... it would be interesting to find out. It's here: Bird Behaviour
