They have hackles
The last bird picture from that remarkable session at Gluepot. A rather handsome white-eyed Australian Raven.

And he's got a fine set of throat hackles, hasn't he LOL.

Now Luis said it looked very dry there. Indeed it was there'd been a long, long drought.

Peter told me that Gluepot got the name because when it rained the dirt road got sticky and you couldn't get out.

We were faced with a 50km drive back to the main road. And we just got out in time because the heavens opened that night with a very noisy thunderstorm!! It rained when I got to Ken's, it rained when I went to Hans & Judy and now here's me bringing rain to South Australia too!!
