Thick-Billed Vireo (Vireo crassirostris)

I have been trying to catch this guy forever. Like the song from the Beatles, "Got to be good-looking 'cause he's so hard to see." Well, I finally got my lucky shot. Got one this morning and my lighting was horrible but this shot I conquered it. I hope I got his name right. He's a little big for this breed but he has these steel-gray eyes.

Aptly named and beautifully captured Daniel. I've never seen one of these guys.

Thanks, KC for your comment. I know I have seen this guy before like three times back when he was a fledgling and here recently. Today was a blessing to get to be able to capture him. You say you never have seen one but you are so blessed with the birds you get. So many that I haven't seen. God bless you and nice to talk again. One day we should take pictures together.

Delia, I have found out how to use my U settings on my camera and it now is a little sharper in focus. Funny and it's true most people buy these fancy cameras myself included and never use the manual setting features. I just so happen to experiment with mine and using the easiest setting one to use due to my inability (LOL) and actually made some lead way.
