Thief! (Procyon lotor)

I've posted another one of this raccoon back when I took the shots. It was stealing bread crumbs that someone had tossed out, most likely for the birds, in a clearing by North Lake in GG Park. Raccoons are probably a major reason why there were signs at several spots around the lake telling people NOT to feed the wildlife. Rats would be another reason, and the health of the birds and other animals a third. But do people obey the signs? Or even read them? Obviously not!

The masked bandit. Can think of them as cute staying across the pond I suppose.

They do look cute to us, don't they. And this guy is really trying to be his cutest, peering at you from under the branch LOL.

As for your question... no, people don't read signs... they don't apply to them of course!
