Third time lucky! (Athene noctua)

Another of the ones from my local patch. I met up with a local birder this morning who hadn't seen Little Owl before let alone any local ones as they're pretty scarce in the County. True to form the first tree we approached one flew out and away and then the same thing happened at the next tree. He was happy enough to have seen them at all, but the third tree proved best of all as he spotted this one perched up. It was just as interested in watching us as we were in watching it giving some great views.

Cracking shot Ian:t::t::t: I got one of these 50 metres from my back garden, every time I even pick up the camera, off he goes:C

He's a real beauty Ian - even if he does look a little cross - very well captured :t::t::t:
