Thirst quenching? (Archilochus colubris)

Tough to get a half ways clear picture when you're laughing your a** off, but I managed one. This hummer sat on this wire in the rain, and kept sticking his tongue out for a few moments at a time, retracting it, then repeating. The only thing I can think it's doing is catching raindrops on its tongue! A novel way to drink and very comical to watch!
