This as me stumped!

Other than the fact its a wader (I think) I can not ident this little beauty? Not a good picture, it was taken through a closed car window as I was driving, any ideas please?

I'm not good at water birds but to me, its beak seems to short for a Redshank.

The bill does look a little short, but the dark tip is just disappearing into the dark background of the rock.... you can just follow it if you get a magnifying glass out LOL.

It sure is a Redshank though Ken. Well spotted.

Many thanks to all for the ID of the bird, appreciated. Been back to the same spot tonight to see if its still around and, it is! Less than 10 feet from where I first shot the picture. Will post a better shot later but this must be a female!! It was bathing, preening, admiring its reflection, preening again and it even jumped out of the bath at 1 point. A bird with a lot of character.
