This one didn't get away!
Just north of Puerto del Carmen on Lanzarote I'd been following a small flock of finches, they flew across a field and I was so intent on not loosing where they landed I didn't realise that there were at least a dozen stone curlews in the field until they too took to the air. I took a couple of shots expecting to get nice views of fresh air but was extremely happy to get this shot.
