Thorny Linnet (Carduelis cannabina)

Another new bird for my gallery! o:) During a pleasant walk by the cliffs of my coastline, I came across this lovely male Linnet singing from a bramble patch. I couldn't get a nice pic of him singing, but posed nicely for me for a while. |=)|

The background is the sea It was a quite dull day, but I like the "greyish" composition this drab sea provided.

This is what I call a top-notch photo. Superb gentle colours, wonderful clarity and a fantastic composition. What more could one ask for?

Just browsing through the galleries, Marian. Sorry I missed this one from before. It's great! The grey background does work and I really like the blush of colour on the bird in contrast.
