Three Sisters
A dramatic part of the sandstone escarpment of the World Heritage listed upper Blue Mountains National Park. Aboriginal legend has it that 3 sisters ("Meehni", "Wimlah", and "Gunnedoo" ) were turned to stone by an elder to protect then from marrying 3 men from a neighbouring tribe (wrong fullas). When he was killed in a skirmish there was no-one to turn them back and so they remain like that for eternity.

Whoah, been there ... awesome shot with some great color and light! ... and Gunnedoo is definitely my type! The shy one, but she's a rock!!!

Haha Frank :) :t: she's the strong silent type ;)

It's a beautiful spot - wonderful to just breathe and spend a couple of hours there of an afternoon and just watch the changing of the light ..... ocassionally you are lucky enough to see them lit up glowing gold :t:
