Tiger Bee Fly
Tiger Bee Fly (Xenox tigrinus: Bombyliidae) This is a large bee fly measuring 1.1-1.9 cm long (0.43-0.75 in) long.
Habitat
Bottomland with hardwood woodlands interspersed with cropland. Creekside with riparian hardwood woodland at ca. 75 m (246 ft) elevation.
Location
Mumford-Benchley Rd ca. half way between Mumford and Benchley, southwest Robertson County, Texas, USA.

So why would a spotted fly be called "tiger" rather than "leopard"???
